This full-scale mid-century modern home renovation gives a classic style a lighter, more relaxed update—designed for how people actually live today. A sculptural living room fireplace clad in green fluted Calacatta marble and framed in walnut anchors the space and sets the tone for the rest of the home. Throughout, moments of personalization add depth, including a dedicated “dude room” painted in a rich Porsche Green—a nod to the homeowner’s love of cars and bold color. From a new kitchen with white oak cabinetry to refreshed bathrooms and gathering spaces, the design blends mid-century influences with modern finishes in a way that feels comfortable, cohesive, and up-to-date. The result is a Raleigh home that feels warm, personal, and easy to live in.
